As an individual business analyst, do you take your career and skills development seriously? If you're an employer, manager or leader of business analysts, do you take their professional competence seriously? Perhaps you aren't too sure what business analysis is, but your work involves designing and implementing business change?

If the answer to any of these is yes, membership of IIBA offers something for you. As the professional body for business analysts, we promote standards, support knowledge sharing and skills development, and help forge connections across the BA community.

Membership of IIBA offers the following benefits:

  • The BABOK Guide

Members receive free access to both the core Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) and the Agile Extension to the BABOK Guide.

  • Career development tools and resources

IIBA provides a range of resources to support your career development, including a Competency Model, Career Centre, info on specialisation, and global research in our field.

  • Knowledge Hub

IIBA's Knowledge Hub is immense, containing 11,000+ books, audio books, and videos, with new titles added regularly. Curated topics of interest to BA professionals include business analysis, enterprise architecture, process management, and many more. You can also access a range of tools and templates for use in your business analysis work.

  • Discounts on certification

IIBA members receive a significant discount on the fees for IIBA certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis (CBAP) qualification.

  • Access to IIBA events

Membership of IIBA entitles you to free access to any online IIBA event, in any IIBA chapter, anywhere in the world!

  • Demonstrate your commitment and professionalism

Over a thousand of IIBA's 27,000 members are based in the UK. Increasingly, employers such as those advertising on our Jobs page are looking for IIBA certifications as a mark of quality. Being an active member of your local IIBA chapter is one way to differentiate yourself from the average 9-to-5 BA.

When you join IIBA, and are based in the UK you'll be automatically affiliated with the UK chapter* (you can change this at any time). You will then receive an e-mail asking you to register for the IIBA UK website which gives IIBA members:

  • Free access to face-to-face events in the UK

Tickets for the majority of our in-person local events are completely free of charge to IIBA members.

  • Access to recordings and slides from past events

Many of our fantastic online events are recorded or have slide decks available. These are only available to members via the IIBA UK site.

  • More discounts

In addition to the discounts on certifications mentioned above, some UK-based providers offer discounted courses to members of IIBA. IIBA members also benefit from discounted tickets for the brilliant BA Conference Europe which takes place each year in London.

If you'd like to talk more about what IIBA membership offers, why not get in touch to chat with one of our IIBA UK volunteers.

If you're already convinced of the benefits, you can join IIBA today! When you join, you'll receive an email inviting you to register on the IIBA UK chapter website.

* The Global and UK websites are not yet fully integrated so IIBA Members not based in the UK need to create a registration on the site and then contact enquiries@iibauk.org to get access to member benefits.
