Creating an ecosystem for a successful Global BA Community of Practice

As demand for Business Analysts (BA) is increasing, organizations are looking to standardize analysis processes and methods. We started a journey at Deutsche Bank to internalize many of our BA roles at a global scale and prepare for an Agile transformation across technology. A key enabler for promoting best practices and improving collaboration across our 2000+ BA practitioners was the introduction of Communities of Practice.

In this presentation, Pardeep will go through his personal journey of how he setup a small BA Community of Interest to become an integral part of the overall ecosystem in building a Global BA Community of Practice at Deutsche Bank. Delegates will hear about the approaches used to grow memberships and successfully roll-out global initiatives, as well as lessons learned on what approaches to avoid when embarking on a similar journey.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explanation of what is a Community of Practice
  2. BA leadership qualities required to create a successful BA Community of Practice
  3. How to structure a Community of Practice within a global organisation
  4. Strategies to increase participation within the Community of Practice
  5. How a Community of Practice can benefit your recruitment process
  6. Examples of successful global initiatives
