The Teradata BA role is a multi-faceted role, active as part of end-to-end project delivery as well as in pre-sales cycles for business exploration.
Teradata BAs are responsible for the delivery of the business analysis workstream for Teradata services delivery and must have a deep understanding of the fine points of the data arena: data warehousing, big data, data usage, tools and analytics, in order to extract the correct requirements from our clients.
The role is 80% travel and involves work across the UK and Ireland, with potential work across the Northern Europe region.
Key responsibilities / accountabilities:
You must have high levels of self-motivation, excellent relationship management and the ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders in industry-appropriate terminology.
On engagement, you will be responsible for the full BA workstream using Teradata methodologies and processes, including but not limited to -

These will be full-lifecycle projects, involving the Business Analyst at every stage, including but not restricted to: requirements definition (defining, analysing, documenting and interpreting business requirements), market evaluation, selection, configuration, training, testing, implementation, change management, and post-implementation road-mapping and review.
The Project Management Office
The Business Analyst will sit within the Technology department, but will work as a key member of the cross functional teams. The Business Analyst team is headed up by the Strategy and Architecture Manager and comprises 3 Business Analysts. The Business Analyst team sits within the wider Project Management Office.

To make the most of this opportunity, you’ll need to have a track record of influencing business or IS decisions and a background in roles in which analytical thinking was applied to produce business improvements. Ideally, that background will include a business analysis qualification, such as a BCS ISEB Diploma or IIBA equivalent, and a familiarity with a broad range of modelling techniques. Ideally you’ll also need a solid understanding of the purpose of business process teams and the new RIIO regulatory framework. Most importantly of all, you’ll need to have proven commercial awareness and the commitment to continuous improvement that are at the heart of this role.

We are looking for a Business Analyst.
As part of our Business Analysis team you will provide business analysis services, including requirements elicitation, facilitation and process mapping.
Working closely with our Transformation department you will support current and future change programmes.
