An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Haven ECommerce team. We operate award-winning, family friendly caravan parks around the British coastline as part of the Bourne Leisure family. Our 36 parks have in excess of 36,000 caravan pitches, making Bourne the largest operator of caravan parks in the UK.

The role: an overview

This brand new role is key to a large, transformational ECommerce project. You will be required to capture, evaluate and document customer and business requirements and track and implement these to drive commercial gain and a cutting-edge ECommerce experience. You will use insight to help deliver both short-term and long-term change. We are looking only for those who have a proven track record within the ECommerce space, years of experience of agile, waterfall and Prince2 approaches, developing business cases and working with a broad range of teams and stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst I am responsible for:

  • Capturing, evaluating, prioritising and documenting all high level and low level requirements. This will include running and facilitating workshops, identifying the 'as is' and the 'to be' states, identifying benefits and estimating resource implications, options and timelines.
  • Constructively challenging requirements and priorities to be sure the end product delivers against those requirements.
  • Championing the customer online.
  • Supporting the Project team with proposing phasing options and Quick Wins, market research, identifying risks and issues and driving forward the business case and case for change.
  • Supporting the Testing team with business testing, documentation and acceptance.
  • Acting as the liaison between the business and IT teams and third parties.

Skills and abilities required for this role:

  • Years of working in fast-moving, online, customer experience centric businesses, with extensive experience working on successful ECommerce websites.
  • Ability to transform complicated and detailed information into clear documentation including requirements, scenarios, workflows, site architectures, interaction notes, and page template/wireframe formats as necessary.
  • A tactful diplomat with a questioning and challenging mind; Credible and confident in managing change, managing stakeholders and resolving conflict.
  • Experience of delivery frameworks and methodologies (Prince2/Waterfall and Agile), impact analysis, user interaction design, system interactions, data flow and systems / process mapping.
  • Highly organised, a self-starter who is happy to work autonomously, technically confident, detail orientated and an excellent communicator and facilitator, especially with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills; strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
