Business Analyst, Avara Foods

Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire, although remote working is available
Salary: TBC

Are you experienced in developing and improving business processes? Do you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills? Are you looking for a new challenge? If so, we are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our IT development team, on a 6-month Fixed term contract. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive team during an exciting time of transition and development. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and utilise their expertise and knowledge confidently. We want you to help us improve user productivity and business process efficiencies to ultimately get the best out of our investments in our Software applications and platforms.

We are a diverse, geographically spread UK business, so this will be a virtual office-based job, working remotely with the team.

Purpose of the role
You will work alongside the other Analysts and get involved in the requirements analysis - understanding how current business processes work - before proposing/recommending improved methods of working.

You will also have the opportunity to get involved in Project Implementation and some User Acceptance Testing

Your key responsibilities will include:

  •  Facilitate workshops, interviews and meetings with business stakeholders to elicit changes to business process
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement
  • Assisting with ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies.
  • Performing requirements analysis, maintaining a clear and robust requirements management process.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts to stakeholders, ensuring verification.
  • Working closely with users, technicians, the PMO and managerial staff.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders, users and implementers.
  • Performing user acceptance testing.
  • Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise the way in which we work.
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experienced in modelling business processes using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0 standard
  • Experience working across the Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report business systems
  • Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP - desirable 
  • Experience in working with Bizagi Process Modeller or Sparx Enterprise Architect- desirable
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Platforms environment e.g. Microsoft 365- desirable
