Date: 14 Nov 2022

This week we'll be discussing business analyst communities.

Within our organisations, we have natural and informal communities with our colleagues, and may also have formal Communities of Practice. Externally, there are professional bodies and membership organisations, as well as less formal groupings that might be based around locations or specific topics. Some communities we choose to join, while others surround us whether we want them or not! And while we might want to get more involved, the demands of our daily lives can get in the way.

We'll look at how being part of communities can help business analysis professionals in their day-today work and their career, examine obstacles to participation, consider leadership and volunteering, and think about what needs are not yet being met.

If you've got experiences to share, want some advice from your peers, or just want to connect with other business analysis professionals in your lunchbreak, why not come along and join the chat?

The Brown Bag will be open from 12:30 until 13:30 UK time, but you can drop in and out when you want. Visitors from other IIBA chapters are very welcome, as are non-members. The 'Drop In' button will appear on this page at the start of the session, so just return to this page and click on the button to join the session - no need to book in advance!

You can add thoughts using the Comments section below if you've got any ideas about how the Brown Bag should work, future subjects you'd like to talk about - or if you'd just like to tell people you'll be coming.
