Simon Platt has been a man on a mission. While he's always been keen on smashing his physical goals (running long distances, getting covered in mud), he's historically shied away from some psychological, emotional, or social challenges. He's recently set himself a series of objectives to get outside his comfort zone - whether that's presenting to the BA community at this year's BA Conference Europe, starting conversations when social networking, or doing karaoke in public!
In this webinar, IIBA UK volunteer Wendy Rees will be quizzing Simon about his journey in business analysis, being an advocate for neurodiversity acceptance, the challenges he's undertaken so far, and the goals he's still building up the courage to tackle!
Simon Platt is a Principal Business Analyst at Whitbread, with 16 years’ experience in helping deliver change initiatives from the very big, to the very small, and everything in between. Simon has worked across several sectors including financial services, transportation, and hospitality.
Away from the workplace, Simon is a super-keen endurance challenge enthusiast and a passionate advocate for Neurodiversity Acceptance, a topic very close to his heart.
Wendy Rees is a Senior Business Analyst working within Business Change at St James’s Place, a Wealth Management Company. She has over 20 years experience, primarily in the Public Sector and more recently within the Financial Services market.
Wendy is an advocate for learning, growing and developing your skills, was part of IIBA UK's mentoring scheme in 2021 and more recently joined IIBA UK as a volunteer for Wales and the South West.
