About the speaker
Mark Cross has worked for over a dozen industry-leading organisations across the UK, EU and New Zealand including VirginMedia, O2 Mobile, Sky Digital, Nokia, Burberry, The Cooperative Bank, NewDay Financial Services and Luminor Banking Group. He is triple-accredited for Business Analysis with the BCS International Diploma, the IIBA’s CBAP and CPRE with the International Requirements Engineering Board and holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. He also holds technical certifications from several of the world’s leading vendors of zero-trust solutions including Microsoft and ZScaler.
Second Presentation: Stakeholder skills for drug busts - reflections on dealing with difficult people in dangerous situations
Have you ever had to spring a ‘surprise’ on a stakeholder and you are not entirely sure what their response is going to be? How do you catch someone off guard and still maintain the best chances for a successful outcome? Insights from a former police officer who spent 2 years on a high performing proactive drugs unit. Charlie will take you through the stakeholder lessons learned from the perspective of executing a drugs warrant and cover essential skills on de-escalation in highly charged environments that make the board room battles look like child’s play. This presentation will provide you with fresh perspectives on helping you to think through stakeholder engagements and challenge you to apply principles such as; all about the game plan, Woosah works and use of force and tactical communications.
About the speaker
Charlie Payne is a Principal Consultant within Solution Delivery at Credera, a consulting firm focused on strategy, transformation, cloud, data, and engineering. From 2006 to 2012 Charlie was a Police Officer with Thames Valley Police but had a career change in 2012 when venturing into Business Analysis via a process improvement role. Little did he know at the time that the front-line policing work he was passionate about would provide such valuable insight for effective stakeholder engagement in Digital projects and change initiatives.
