Date: 10 Nov 2023

This is part 3 of a 5-part series. Last session we completed a TOWS analysis in a workshop environment, and in this upcoming session we're going to turn a TOWS into Wow!, continuing to build on our strategy approach for the Travel Company case study

Welcome to the BABOK study group relaunch where we will be hosting interactive workshops in which you can immerse as a Business Analyst in the world of change!

This 5 part workshop will be hosted by myself, Imtiaz Kaderbhoy and Pip Hall.

The Background

As BAs, we are change agents for an organisation. We take people by the hand, helping them think, articulate, take work off and free them up to be the best in their specialist role.

But often times we get pigeon holed and we get stuck in the weeds. And so it can be hard to see the end to end value we add to the change lifecycle. Yet being able to see the overall business change cycle is important for a BA because it's where our value truly lies.

Introducing - BABOK Through The Lense Of A Change Agent

In this 5 part workshop you will get to understand the BABOK more from a business change lifecycle, and how the different areas such as Strategic Analysis fit in. This will help put BABOK more into context and bring it alive.

What You'll Experience

  • A collaborative 'workshop' style approach where you will get to look at a practical project and it's various stages and deliverables
  • Working in groups within the workshop, connecting with new colleagues and trying different BA techniques
  • How to create a more 'end to end' viewpoint of a project and get unstuck from the weeds
  • Creating a more 'jargon free' laymens perspective so you can help your stakeholders through the journey

Starting: 13th October, every 2 weeks, 12pm - 1pm - over 5 sessions. Schedule as follows:
