Delivering the Business Event
How the Business Analyst underpins the value in the delivery cycle for organisations and customers
Acting as the business conduit and interacting with business partners, the BA as the knowledge centre plays a pivotal role in delivering the business event.
If you've been involved in any delivery cycle (it doesn't really matter what it is), it makes sense that the knowledge travels as the project progresses. It's about building the business readiness and preparing to add value.
If the BA has built out the artefacts, gained valuable customer insights, gathered the requirements and taken a key role in other deliverable such as Quality Assurance, they also sit at the core when the Business Event is going live.
And then what about the infrastructure of support to monitor, make improvements and trouble-shoot after the business event has been delivered?
Again, the BA underpins, protects and enhances the value for the organisation and customers. Project Managers would call it a 'post implementation review' but the BA can add much more than that - especially in the critical time just after the delivery point.
Gary will discuss 'Delivering the Business Event' and share insights gathered over 20+ years delivering to world-wide customer bases and playing key roles in the delivery of multi-million pound projects.
Gary will articulate how the multi-skilled BA can add enormous value to customers ranging from members of the public, complex organisations and even the Queen!
(And if you're delivering product to Buckingham Palace, or any other customer for that matter, it stands to reason that you want to get it right first time, every time).
Gary Cockburn had the privilege of assuming several key delivery roles for Royal Mail Stamps and Collectibles – enabling millions of customers across the world to receive Philatelic products up to 20 times a year
