Role Description

As a Finance Transformation BA at Capco, you will work as part of a transformation team, leading and supporting analysis on finance transformation projects. You will spend time with clients dealing with challenges as they arise and gaining valuable experience and exposure to how projects and client organisations work across the financial services industry.

 

AS PART OF THE FINANCE, RISK, REGULATION & COMPLIANCE TEAM AT CAPCO, THE FINANCE TRANSFORMATION BA WILL

 

  • Lead and support on business requirements definition by providing timely, value-added services that meet or exceed expectations
  • Agree the approach to the analysis and requirements definition, including reviews and sign- offs.
  • Liaise with internal control functions in particular Operational Risk as well as the business
  • Manage stakeholder expectations spanning global business areas with conflicting priorities
  • Ensure timely escalation and control of risks, issues, dependencies and timelines
  • Develop long-term trusted advisor relationships with external clients and industry contacts
  • Understand business models and helping translate them into business requirements and test scenarios for handover to IT partners
  • Work collaboratively with Capco teams in identifying opportunities for and securing new business
  • Support the sharing of knowledge and experience with the team to help develop your colleagues and the capability of the firm

 

Skills and Experience

  • Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) (desirable)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Good understanding of the role of the Finance function within financial services organisations
  • Understanding the impact of the relationship between finance and other functions
  • Experience in working with the C-Suite - CFO, CRO, CDO community
  • Experience of the impact of regulations on finance in Financial Services
  • Experience of delivering transformation projects within finance functions, including finance/ regulatory transformation, resource management, budgeting, communications and governance
  • Understanding of the project lifecycle from requirements through to implementation
  • Strong Business Analysis and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to Work with technology partners to translate requirements into functional and technical design
  • Experienced at running workshops to lead discussions, gather requirements and mitigate risks
  • Knowledge of formal project management methods e.g., Agile, PMI, Prince 2
