Job role

To join a fast growing independent eCommerce logistics company which offers fully tracked international home deliveries for the ecommerce market. Due to the over-whelming demand of these services for both UK and International retailers we are looking to expand the IT function quickly with highly experienced individuals. wnDirect is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, with an estimated turnover of £70m for 2014 after only 3 years of trading. wnDirect were very proud to win the National business awards for new business 2013.

Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will be leading requirements gathering on projects as well as project managing a number of them through the project lifecycle.

This role will be accountable for the understanding and documenting the requirements and end to end business processes. The role will provide leadership in Business Analysis and Project Management to ensure the requirements are understood and delivered by all parties to meet the needs of the business. You will be supported by the Head of Architecture to ensure that the company meets its aggressive growth objectives.

The Business Analyst will be involved in stakeholder management of senior level client executives. There is excellent scope for progression and the chance to work for a company that values their employees. Skills required

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the wnDirect end to end processes.
  • Support the roll out and implementation of a 'UK first' carrier management system from Sweden. wnDirect believe it's the best in the World which is used for Apple, Ikea and H&M.
  • Work with the Business to investigate, analyse, review, define and document business requirements, identify available options and recommend high-level solutions aligned with the overall architecture vision.
  • Manages the preparation of requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations ensuring they are translated in to functional specifications.
  • Able to establish a business case to justifying business requests and producing high-level business models.
  • Guides the Business towards accepting change through effective change management (communication, training, process redesign, etc)
  • Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.
  • Ability to work with a high number of small concurrent projects across a large number of retail clients.
  • Supports the full delivery lifecycle ensuring business requirements are properly understood and met by the delivered solution, including supporting the creation and execution of test scripts and the data cleansing / migration approach.
  • Develop and mentor on a suitable IT project methodology for the business.
  • Ability to manage the end to end testing of new retailers.
  • Proven software development life-cycle experience.
  • Self-motivated, punctual and a natural leader that flourishes in small team environment
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Anticipates business needs before they arise and works on solutions that encompass issues at hand.
  • Understands expectations that were agreed with a client and recognises when issues/events may affect delivery.

  • You will receive BA training for this role which is designed for wnDirect by the British Computer Society.
  • We see this role as progressing to leading a bigger analysis team for the UK and International projects.
