Business Analysts, DST Systems

Location: Dagenham
Salary: £45K

At DST, we combine industry leading expertise in direct marketing, data analysis, digital marketing communications and data management to provide clients with a fully integrated cross-channel communication capability including print, web and mail.

To support our growing client list we are looking for a vibrant, intelligent and dedicated person to join our growing solution design team in the role of Pre-sales & Solutions Business Analyst.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture, model and refine business requirements, rules, processes and workflows
  • Document business requirements based on functional and non-functional requirements
  • Design business solutions, with supporting prototypes, wireframes and high-level architectures
  • Conduct Gap analysis and define target operating states
  • Work with technical architects to design and create strategic solutions to the data provisioning needs of the client
  • Support other team members in assisting with consultancy on solutions
  • Maintain and grow your knowledge base and understanding emerging and current industry technologies and DST group toolsets
  • Work with large blue-chip clients across multiple sectors, conduct meetings raise confidence, and ensure team reporting and administration is maintained
  • Liaise with product managers and SMEs for clarification on the design of client business solutions
  • Design workshop agendas, and facilitate meetings with clients to capture requirements
  • Use presentation skills to feedback understanding
  • Manage multiple work streams whilst balancing issues and risk
  • Occasional travel to client sites with overnight stays, so must be comfortable with travel

Exposure / requirements:

  • Some experience in capturing requirements, and able to articulate to technical and non-technical audiences, specifically in client facing environments
  • Previous experience in Financial Services would be preferred, but not essential
  • Previous experience in SDLC and project environment is essential
  • Client facing consultancy experience is highly desirable
  • Good understanding of data governance, data management and data life-cycle
  • BA certification would be ideal (in any BA discipline) but it's not essential, as will provide some training on the job
  • Exposure to document composition, print and e-delivery is highly desirable
  • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills, combined with creativity, innate curiosity, and attention to detail
  • An understanding of project management methodologies
  • The ability to work on your own in a macro management environment
